Call of Duty has been one of the most massive gaming franchises across every single gaming platform for decades. Recently, March 10, 2020, marked the release of the free-to-play battle royale game, Call of Duty: Warzone. The game has seen massive success since its release almost a week ago, and the player base has exploded significantly. This is the first battle royale game released in the franchise to be free to play for all players. In order to stay on top of the competition and achieve your victory royale, you need to be sure that your weapon loadout is up to par (same goes for IRL gaming equipment such as keyboards and monitors!). This list contains the top ten loadout weapons for Call of Duty: Warzone, any relevant or useful information about the weapon, and each individual weapon’s top five best attachments. Any of these weapons is a great contender for your games
The R9-0 rightfully deserves a place on this list for many reasons, one of the main appeals being that the weapon is available for players early on. The R9-0 is a shotgun weapon with a double-barrel firing two shots at once, so the player can fire two bullets before even having to reload. What the R9-0 lacks in distance it more than makes up for in pure damage, so the best loadout for this weapon is going to include attachments that maximize close-range damage and battle. The top five attachments for this purpose include Forge TAC Sentry (Barrel), FTAC Close Quarters Pro (Pumps), Choke (Muzzle), Sleight of Hand (Perk), and Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip).
The Aug falls under the category of a sub-machine gun, an SMG, that is most effective from a medium to close-range distance. The Aug has pretty equal statistics across its accuracy, range, damage, mobility, control, and fire-rate, meaning this is a very well-rounded weapon than can be useful in most gunfights. When equipping these attachments with the Aug it will do more damage and be silenced as much as possible, allowing the player to have the element of stealth on their side. These attachments include 407mm Lightweight Barrel (Barrel), Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle), Merc Foregrip (Underbarrel), FTAC Ultralight Hollow (Stock), and the Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip).
The PKM is the first weapon on this list that falls under the light machine gun, or the LMG, category. Light machine guns are a personal favorite of mine in my own gameplays due to the ability to have a powerful weapon while having strong mobility and using a more aggressive playstyle. The PKM is available early on in-game and it boasts quite high stats in the range, accuracy, and fire-rate departments. One of the most appealing parts of this weapon is its very high ammo capacity, which is very helpful in any gunfight. In order to take advantage of all of the positive aspects of this weapon, the attachments I’ve included here will maximize the PKM’s damage output to an insane level. These attachments include 26.9” Extended Barrel (Barrel), Granulated Grip Tape (Rear Grip), Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle), Tactical Foregrip (Underbarrel), and Thermal Hybrid (Optic).
The Kar98k is one of the most well-known weapons of the Call of Duty franchise, first appearing in 2003 in the first Call of Duty game. The Kar98k is a marksman rifle that usually kills players in two shots, and this weapon has a considerably high damage output and accuracy potential that is most effective from a ranged distance. Scoped weapons are very popular in first-person shooter games, and quick scoping is one of the most well-known strategies. Hitting a quick scope on an enemy is very satisfying, and this set of attachments will increase your chances of hitting those difficult and quick shots. These attachments include Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle), FTAC Sport Comb (Stock), Singuard Custom 27.6” (Barrel), Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip), and Merc Thermal Optic (Optic)
The HDR is one of the more unique weapons available in-game, as it’s one of the two bolt-action sniper rifles available. The HDR is a very useful and powerful weapon that excels in range and accuracy statistics. This weapon is the best for players who succeed with sniper weapons and classes where long-rage weapons are a necessity. When you’re shooting from a faraway distance, stealth can be essential in concealing your position from enemies who may be nearby when you’re scoping in on your enemies. The attachments below increase the weapon’s aiming stability and the player’s stealth. These attachments include Thermal Sniper Scope (Optic), Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle), 26.9″ HDR Pro (Barrel), 9 Round Mags (Ammunition), and FTAC Hunter-Scout (Stock).
The MP-7 is another Submachine gun on our list and is one the most well-liked and popular weapons of the Call of Duty franchise. This weapon has been revamped for the new Call of Duty games and is just as powerful and effective as ever. The rate of fire of this weapon is one of the highest in the game, making this weapon extremely deadly in a close-range battle. For players who prefer an aggressive playstyle, this weapon is definitely for you. This weapon’s effectiveness decreases dramatically when there is more distance between you and your enemy, so the attachments I’ve listed are best for players who will be constantly moving and up close to their objectives. These attachments are FSS RECON (Barrel), Operator Foregrip (Underbarrel), Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle), FORGE TAC Ultralight (Stock), and the Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip).
To contrast the MP-7 listed directly above, the Oden is an Assualt Rifle, an AR, that sports a considerably low rate of fire. However, the Oden more than compensates what it lacks in the rate of fire category with its ridiculously high damage output. This weapon is deadly in close and medium-range distances. When using the Oden, you need to consider the weapon’s high probability for recoil. These attachments do a great job of managing the recoil without negatively impacting the weapons high damage. These attachments include Oden Factory 810mm (Barrel), Colossus Suppressor (Muzzle), Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel), Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip), and the Operator Reflex Sight (Optic).
The MP5 is another one of the Submachine guns on this top ten list. This weapon is higher up on the list due to its easy controllability and high accuracy statistics. The weapon is strong in the mobility and fire range categories, but it suffers in the damage and range categories as well. When considering your loadout and attachments for this weapon, it would be very beneficial to include attachments that will aide the low damage output this weapon provides on its own. These attachments include Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle), Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip), 10mm Auto 30-Round (Ammunition), FTAC Collapsible (Stock), and the Commando Foregrip (Underbarrel).
The second on this top ten list is the AX-50. The AX-50 is a bolt-action sniper rifle that dominates from ranged distances. This weapon provides a very high damage output with high accuracy, range, and control. This point may be obvious after reading through this list, but I believe that stealth and sniping go hand in hand, and these attachments do not stray from that belief. These attachments will maximize your stealth and allow you to be a silent killer. These attachments are Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle), Thermal Sniper Scope (Optic), Singuard Arms Marksman (Stock), 32.0” Factory Barrel (Barrel) and the Presence of Mind (Perk).
The number one weapon on this top ten list is none other than the M4A1, and after reviewing this weapon’s statistics it isn’t hard to see why it’s been placed in the top place. This weapon is useful in almost any gunfight or situation as it’s basic statistics are extremely well rounded with decent numbers across every category from damage to accuracy. There are many different loadouts the player could use with the M4A1, but since the weapon is so versatile almost any loadout will do. However, this list will include a list of attachments that will maximize the M4A1’s fire-rate. This loadout is extremely popular in-game right now, and it is definitely a deadly combination. These attachments include Monolithic Suppressor (Muzzle), 60 Round Mag (Ammunition), M-16 Grenadier (Barrel), Stippled Grip Tape (Rear Grip) and Thermal Hybrid (Optic).
Any of these weapons will be a great addition to any player’s inventory. Make sure to always consider your own preferred gameplay style when choosing your weapon. Just because a professional or popular streamer is very successful with one specific weapon or loadout, does not mean you will be successful with the same things. Do you excel in the sniper class? Do you prefer fast fire-rate weapons? Do you succeed more with close-range gun battles? Either way, this list has the perfect weapon for you.
