There are few weapons as iconic as the Kar98k. The bolt action rifle became so famous in the WWII era, and in the COD games that eventually followed, that the developers of Warzone have stuck it in their game despite the Kar98k being completely outclassed by modern weaponry.
Here’s a list of the top 10 blueprints available, for the Kar98k. This list will be ranked purely by aesthetics. Attachments and weapon functionality is only considered in so far as they make the weapon look cool. Cool? Cool. Let’s get on with it.
The Kar98k Freya looks like the kind of model weapon that gets thrown around in a highly competitive marching band. Silver lines the plating around the muzzle, stuck, and bolt, while the classic polished wood finish presents itself in a matter that feels purposefully refined.
With a breacher muzzle, stippled grip tape, and tactical laser, you can emulate the goddess Freya this epic weapon was named after through the purchase of the War Gods bundle.
Given its name, you’d expect the Sterling Kar98k to look similar to the Freyja, but it actually takes a much darker tone. With a lighter black tone, the carbon fiber material, and tactical sight equipped on this blueprint, the Sterling does a good job at making this weapon seem custom made and far more advanced than its date’s creation would have you believe.
Unfortunately, this weapon was only available in season two’s battle pass. If you want to get it but you don’t already, you’ll have to cross your fingers that the devs revive it in some way. Best of luck!
8. Fluid Dynamics
Fluid Dynamics is a blueprint that looks like a prototype for a weapon that’s currently being upgraded and is in heavy testing. “Dynamics” is printed across the weapon’s murky green tones, almost like an advertisement. Hexagons dance around the sport comb stock while its tac laser and Cronen optics give the 98k a far more modern look than normal (that’ll be a common theme today.)
This weapon was a reward for completing a contraband contract in Warzone, season 5!
7. Saddle Horn
Here we have the first truly ‘flavorful’ blueprint design. The Saddle Horn is what would happen if the Kar98k was invented by a cowboy. A sport stock, stubby Singaurd barrel, and PBX holosight do a good job at transforming the Kar98k on top of its bright wooden finish which looks more akin to a Garand or Gewehr 43 than anything else.
If you like getting kills in the same way you like wrangling in the herd, this weapon is a dream. Only available to those who completed tier 59 of the season 4 Battle Pass.
The Ikebana blueprint accomplishes one thing: satisfying R6: Siege players with its tactical aesthetic. A happy lizard is painted in white over the Kar98k’s olive finish, complimenting the tone nicely. Additionally, there’s a tactical suppressor, thermal hybrid optic, and precision comb optic for the ultimate loadout for some post-droning action.
This legendary weapon is rewarded for completing tier 71 of the season 6 battle pass, and comes complimentary with sleight of hand, if that were to sweeten the deal in any way.
5. Open Season
Remember how the Saddle Horn was designed by a cowboy? Well, Open Season is the Kar98k, but designed by his brother, the mountain dweller. The Kar98k, despite technically just being a bolt action rifle that can be used on its own stock’s merits, is usually associated with scoped sniper shenanigans.
Open season takes that bright wooden finish, puts hunting camo on the top, and equips the 98k with a large Variable Scope to give it a familiar look, despite being what looks like something you’d see in the beginning of No Country for Old Men. A Sport stock and Singaurd custom barrel finish the look off in a beefy way.
This blueprint is available in the PlayStation plus exclusive Warzone Combat Pack.
We’ve finally come to that blueprint on the list. The blueprint that takes the original weapon and just goes for pure flair! The Incisor Kar98k is a bright yellow over black tiger stripe design with scout optics, tac laser, and a monolithic suppressor worthy of its name.
These attachments work together to create a strong, large look that can’t be ignored. This only compliments the bright tiger stripe design that is pasted over the weapon’s body in its entirety. If you like flair, if you like being the center of attention, and you like having a signature weapon that people can recognize, this might be the blueprint for you.
Available through the Fire Claw 2 bundle. Happy Chompin’
3. The Guillotine
The Guillotine is a blueprint that establishes itself very clearly as a hitman’s design. A black finish that shines brightly in light makes it appear more akin to chrome than anything else. All the while, the sport comb stock, lightweight suppressor, and sniper scope are equipped to allow for efficient headshots at distance. Quite befitting of a weapon named the guillotine, I’m sure Robespierre would be proud.
The Guillotine is a legendary-grade blueprint available in the Razor Sharp bundle. Good luck, 47.
2. Caustic Companion
Some weapons are like quiet tools that can be used without much fuss. Some are a bit jankier and have personality to them. The Caustic Companion aims to make the 98k more like a loud pet straight out of Fallout: Loud, obnoxious, but is always sure to meet the job’s specifications (if you are.)
An amateur yellow finish is haphazardly thrown over a black design with obnoxious lettering and numbers thrown into the mix for good measure. A breacher muzzle and Singaurd barrel help to give this 98k some extra length, while the optics and sport stock help to keep everything skinny. With the Caustic Companion, your Kar98k will walk a fine line between being updated to a modern ‘design’ and close to its original look, at least in terms of size.
This epic-grade sniper rifle is available in the Hazardous II store bundle.
1. Dust Devil
There are a few similarities between the Dust Devil and the Caustic Companion. Namely, the sleek look the blueprints provide the Kar98k with. The Dust Devil makes use of a muzzle break and Singuard Barrel for extra reach, with a precision comb stock and scout optic to retain that classic skinny look.
What separates this blueprint from the rest of the pack is its finish. The meticulously crafted detail that paints the entire body of the weapon isn’t just limited to the main portion of the weapon, but extends to the stock, and even up to the scope for good measure.
It can be pretty easy to miss, but for those with a good eye, and even better taste, this weapon’s design is a beauty, and worthy enough to make it a main blueprint for the Kar98k users in Warzone. Not to mention you can farm it for D Claws (sorry.) Available in the Gambler Store Bundle.
That’s it for this list. If we missed a blueprint, you’re a fan of, or have an order you don’t agree with, let us know! We love a good conversation. Until then, GLHF.
