Regardless of whether they provide gameplay advantages or not, players of any first-person shooter will always gravitate toward armors that make them look fierce on the battlefield. Luckily for you, the newly released Halo Infinite comes with a ton of ways to customize your appearance from head to toe.

Halo Infinite includes 11 different categories of armor customization. These feature pieces that complete any look to fit any player personality out there. All of that being said, you may be thinking, where do I even began? It’s hard when you have so many choices at your disposal. So, here’s a list of our favorite armors and what you need to do to unlock them.

10. Recon Helmet

Number ten on our list is the Recon Helmet from the Materials Group. It offers a sleek visual in grey and blue, which gives you that cold, icy look you need to intimidate enemies. These helmets were essential for Spartan recon and electronic surveillance teams during Operation: RED FLAG. This operation took place in the final year of the Covenant War. This helmet is truly a throwback to these fierce fighters.

To unlock the Recon Helmet, you will need to reach Tier 45 of Season 1 Heroes of the Reach Battle Pass (Premium). This helmet is compatible with various attachments as well as the Mark V (B) Armor Core.

9. SAP / SNP

This one is for the snipers. The SAP / SNP combo of shoulder pads from Chalybs Defense Solutions ensure that you are battle ready. Visually, these shoulder pads are unique as they are one of the few sets that display ammo so obviously. Many armor pieces in this game have a tactical appearance, but this just puts it right out there. This always helps to give your Spartan a tougher, grittier look that says to your enemies “don’t mess with me”.

You can unlock the two of these Legendary shoulder pads separately with the Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium). For the left should, you’ll need to get to Tier 32. For the right shoulder, you’ll need to get to Tier 33. These are compatible with the Mark V (B) Armor Core.

8. Tac / Recon Package

Our first chest piece on this list is the Tac / Recon Package from the Misriah Armory. Also known as Field Rig Romeo, this chest piece features multiple compartments that guarantee your Spartan has everything they need. It is a piece of tactical-looking gear that is perfect for players that want that calculated, methodical look. Probably a great place to pack a mid-battle snack as well.

This Rare piece of armor can be obtained at Tier 43 of Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium). Like our other pieces on the list so far, this is compatible with Mark V (B) Armor Core.

7. UA / Type FJ

For those of you that like to be quick on their feet, the lightweight UA / Type FJ knee pads are a great choice. They have a compact, yet strong look about them and are described as a shock-absorbing knee armor piece. This is perfect for you cat-like warriors that weave through battles striking with a deadly grace like no one’s ever seen. These awesome knee pads are brought to you by Cascade Armor Technologies.

This armor piece has an Epic rarity so, although it isn’t Legendary, it still comes with a fair bit of bragging rights. To get the UA / Type FJ armor piece, you will need to get to Tier 52 of Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium). This armor is compatible with the Mark V (B) Armor Core group.

6. MAT-2550 Grenade Pack

Another one for those of you who like your characters to be prepared for whatever may come their way is the MAT-2550 Grenade Pack. This includes a set of grenades and a spare tactical radio on the off chance your Spartan would need some assistance. Although you’re probably more than capable of handling things on your own, it can’t hurt to have backup readily available. And, if no one comes to your rescue, you can just chuck one of your grenades and hope for the best.

This is an Epic rarity piece of utility that comes from Emerson Tactical Systems. To unlock the MAT-2550 Grenade Pack, you will need to reach Tier 9 of Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium). It falls under the Mark VII Armor Core group.

5. Tac / CASC

Another one from the Materials Group, the Tac / CASC is a wrist piece that gives you another opportunity to show off your ammo. You will get a forearm full of shotgun shells. Those that use shotguns have a tendency to have an “in your face” style of play. What better way to show that off than having an arm full of shotgun ammo?

This piece of armor has an Epic rarity rating, but it requires a higher tier level than the armor pieces we’ve mentioned so far. To get to it, you will need to reach Tier 88 of the Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium). So, you won’t get a hold of it for a bit, but perseverance goes a long way in looking fierce.

4. Tac / Sapper Rig

Just in case the pieces we’ve mentioned already weren’t enough to flaunt your ammo, we have the Tac / Sapper Rig. While some of our other pieces give you a few extra pieces of ammo on your arms, this chest plate ensures that you are strapped and ready to go. The Misriah Armory loads you up with two rows of high explosives to blitz through battles with ease. Let’s be honest. No one wants to mess with someone who has a bunch of explosives strapped to them.

An Epic rarity armor piece, the Tac / Sapper Rig also makes you wait a while to behold its glory. You need to reach Tier 93 of Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium) before you can unlock it. But the wait is totally worth it. In my opinion, it’s one of the toughest looking pieces on this list. This armor is compatible with Mark V (B) Armor Core.

3. Noble Visor

Our first visor on this list, the Noble Visor is a bright yellow eye protection that gives you a tough exterior. From the UNSC manufacturer, it’s lore tagline of “Stand Up. Stand Firm.” certainly fits the look. What else can we say? This visor adds to a look that shows everyone else who’s in charge around here.

Not only does it look great, but the Noble Visor is one of the easier pieces of armor on our list to get. You need to be at Tier 17 of Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium). Like many others on this list, it falls within the Mark V (B) Armor Core.

2. EVA (C)

The EVA (C) is one of the more cartoonish-looking pieces on our list. But cartoon doesn’t mean that it must look silly. In fact, the EVA (C) looks absolutely vicious with a skull-like appearance that is sure to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies. It is a helmet from the Materials Group. It comes as an improved model of the Mjolnir EVA helmets that arose out of the Summa Deep Space Incident.

This helmet is a Legendary rarity piece of armor that is compatible with the Mark V (B) Armor Core. It is also compatible with various helmet attachments. To get it, you’ll need to reach Tier 90 of Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium).

1. Mark VI

And finally, our top choice of Halo Infinite armor is the Mark VI helmet. This piece from the Materials Group didn’t quite get to finish testing due to the Covenant assault on the Reach. Sadly, a lot of the combat data is no longer available despite the Seongnam development team’s best efforts. That said, this helmet is still pretty awesome. It’s got a compact appearance compared to some of the other helmets but it stills boats a tough and sturdy exterior.

The Epic rarity Mark VI helmet can be gained upon reaching Tier 84 of Season 1 Battle Pass (Premium). It is compatible with the Mark V (B) Armor Core group and, like with the other helmets on our list, helmet attachments are available.

Conclusion

I know that I, personally, always play better when I’m feeling good about my armor customization. I need my character to look good if I’m going to play well. There’s just something about looking battle-ready that gets you pumped for the fight.
